Notes & data source information
TalkTalk, a subsidiary of Carphone Warehouse, started the "free broadband" movement in April 2006. This service is available to everyone covered by an exchange on the LLU network. At present they only offer 8Mbps ADSL, although ADSL2+ capability is being installed as part of their "Next Generation Network" roll-out.

TalkTalk very kindly provide the site with a regularly updated list of their unbundled exchanges.

NOTE: This information pertains only to the LLU (Local Loop Unbundling) activities of TalkTalk. The provider may also offer broadband services using other technologies (most commonly BT Wholesale ADSL services), but this is not included on this page.

  1. Based upon implied line length, which is calculated by taking the straight line distance from the exchange to the premises and then multiplying by 1.4
  2. Coverage maps are regenerated automatically at least once per week
