Notes & data source information
Updata Infrastructure UK operate build customised "carrier class" network infrastructure, primarily for the public sector.Whilst few consumers will be directly familiar with their services, many schools, councils and other public bodies make extensive use of their network, particularly in Dorset, Essex and Wales.
They have recently begun providing us with their coverage data, and we'll be updating this on a regular basis where available.
NOTE: This information pertains only to the LLU (Local Loop Unbundling) activities of Updata. The provider may also offer broadband services using other technologies (most commonly BT Wholesale ADSL services), but this is not included on this page.
- Based upon implied line length, which is calculated by taking the straight line distance from the exchange to the premises and then multiplying by 1.4
- Coverage maps are regenerated automatically at least once per week
