Automated bulk registration submission

More and more people have been sending me spreadsheets containing registrations recently. Whilst I didn’t mind this, it was quite time consuming to have to modify the data each time and import it in to the database.

We have a solution now though - an automated bulk registration system that allows anyone to upload a CSV (See the note at the bottom if you’re unsure of what a CSV is) of registrations to my system. It’s been in testing for the past few days, and in that time it’s successfully handled around 800 registrations.

These registrations will be treated just like registrations from my individual registration forms - they will be passed to BT on your behalf - you do not need to do anything else. There is no minimum limit to the number of registrations you can submit, and the system still only requires a postcode, phone number and email address. Please keep in mind that with the current system a registration still takes around three working days to appear on the checkers. I will be keeping an eye on the usage of it for the time being. Please try to provide real email addresses with the registrations where possible - it can look a tad suspicious otherwise when submitting a lot of registrations with very similar details.

With all that said, you can access the page by clicking here. You can download a sample spreadsheet in the format that my system will accept by clicking here. You’ll notice that the CSV file will open in any spreadsheet program, including Excel. It is important that when you save it, that you save it as a CSV (Comma Seperated Values) and not as an XLS (Excel Spreadsheet file).

In other news…
For those of you wondering, the RFS dates have been delayed slightly and will now be released tomorrow.
