Sorry I haven’t added much in the past few days - I’m heavily snowed under with other work at the moment. I’ve updated all the exchange maps though, and a new UK map is shown below (Click for a larger version!).

Sadly, none of the 32 that triggered automatically last week were included. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see on that one.

I’ve finally got round to sorting out maps for almost every exchange in the UK. You can view these maps by finding your exchange, and hitting “View Map”.
Take Torpoints Map as an example. Let me know what you think of them! I know they’re only quite basic at the moment, but theres now room for

We’re going to be installing a new UPS on the server and the router today around 1pm.
This means that www.samknows.com will be offline for about 5-10 minutes. I apologise for this, but it’s something that really has to be done - and soon!

I completely forgot to post this yesterday… so here’s a list of all the trigger levels released yesterday and their number of preregistrations (as of 10am ish yesterday). Oddly I have only 2299 triggers listed… but I think that may be explained by one exchange having a duplicate OLO Code.
Download the CSV file !

We all know that todays announcements have caused huge joy, and some disapointment, amongst campaigners. But how has it affected the country as a whole?
The maps below show the state of ADSL in Britain a few days before the announcement, and the state of it now.

For the definitive answer on your trigger, I suggest heading over to BT.com/broadband/
Anyway, my tracker is updating as I type, and should be done within an hour or so
Happy trigger-day !

The pre-registration system is alive and working!
For anyone who’s not familiar with this, it basically allows you to have your own pre-registration form on your website. No more linking users to BT or anywhere else, it can all be done from your website. Plus, you can see the registrations as they come in.

Couple of small new additions today. The Javascript registration counters which people can use on their page have a couple of new options.
Firstly, exchanges without a trigger can now the script report “Not set” for the trigger rather than just “0″. This is done by using trigger-word rather than trigger.
Secondly, for exchanges with

I’ve added a barometer graph for each exchange now. It’s in the style of the new one used at www.bt.com/broadband/. An example can be seen by clicking here.
For instructions on how to use it, view your exchange page, click instructions and copy the code from there.
I should also add that exchanges which have campaigns listed

Some of you may have noticed that the graphs have been a bit slow at loading recently. This is largely due to the fact that they were generated dynamically as and when you requested them.
In an effort to speed up the loading times on graphs, I’ve implemented a caching system. This means that graphs are

A few more Ready For Service dates appeared on the checker this morning. These look like they’re the result of the partnership schemes currently being run in certain areas - this time in Scotland.
Anyway, Christmas will come just over a week early (December 17th!) for anyone living in one of these areas…
Cullen, Fochabers, Fortrose, Grantown
