BT to install nationwide MegaStream Ethernet service

Alcatel today announced that they will be supplying the hardware and software to support BT’s new MegaStream Ethernet service.
This will be deployed on top of BT’s existing network, in 120 PoP’s (Points of Presence) throughout the UK.

Still no RFS dates

For everyone who’s still waiting: I’m afraid there’s still no word as to the whereabouts of last weeks RFS dates. It’s gone 5pm now, so it’s unlikely we’ll see anything today - but stranger things have happened!

Northern Ireland to get 100% broadband coverage

BT have been chosen by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment to provide Northern Ireland with 100% broadband coverage by 2005, according to an article by BBC News.

BT to use wireless broadband for the triggerless 600
