BT Wholesale slashes LLU charges

This morning BT have announced that they will be reducing LLU (Local Loop Unbundling) charges by up to 70%.
In a series of phased price cuts, due to start June 1st, BT will significantly reduce the cost of LLU connection and line rental. The June 1st price cuts will see the monthly line rental charge fall

List of ISP’s particpating in the Milton Keynes trial released

A preliminary list of the ISP’s that will be taking orders for the Milton Keynes trial has been released by the Milton Keynes Broadband Action Group.
The full list of 16 ISP’s, available here, contains mostly small-to-medium sized providers, although BT Yahoo is also involved. Contact information for those interested is also provided on the same

Update from the Milton Keynes trial

As a part of the Milton Keynes extended reach trial, BT will be providing regular correspondance to the Milton Keynes Broadband Action Group. The first round of communication was supplied by BT today and provides some additional details about the trial.

Exchange capacity information for enabled exchanges

PCCW launches 3.4Ghz wireless broadband service

UK Broadband, a wholly-owned subsidary of PCCW, have launched their wireless broadband service. The new service is called Netvigator and operates in the 3.4Ghz spectrum. Last year UK Broadband managed to acquire all 15 3.4Ghz licenses, allowing for national coverage. The new service is currently in operation in Aldershot, Maidenhead, Reading, Slough, Windsor and Wokingham.
