German Spectrum Auction Yields €4bn

The auction of additional German radio spectrum for mobile use has raised €4.38 billion.

This is about half the forecast amount and is perhaps a reflection of the current financial climate and uncertainty in the Euro zone, or perhaps there are enough execs around with memories of being burned in the last lot of 3G auctions.

Universal Service Commitment - one year on.
