Given the number of emails I have received recently about the planned rollout scheme, I thought it would be good idea to post some of the questions and answers here.

Q: What’s this planned rollout scheme all about? Why can’t I pre-register anymore?!
A: BT scrapped the preregistration scheme back in April. As a result of this they will be announcing RFS dates for all exchanges with trigger levels. Exchanges that were above 90% of their trigger at 7am on April 26th will have already received their RFS date.

Q: Why did some exchanges continue to gather pre-registrations even after the system closed?
A: Whilst ISP’s were no longer able to bulk-upload registrations to BT after the announcement, singular registrations via web-services continued to function. This was stopped a week or two later. Pre-registrations after 7am April 26th did not count!

Q: So when are all these RFS dates being released?
A: Tomorrow - June 30th! This has now been confirmed by BT Wholesale. We’re expecting around 1040 dates to be announced.
