Just under a year ago, Cable and Wireless announced their year-end results for March 2005. Within this they stated that they planned to have 600 exchanges unbundled by Bulldog by March 2006, and 800 by late autumn 2006. Today BSkyB outlined plans to bring the total number of LLU exchanges to 750 by the end of 2006 and 1,200 by 2007. This is equivalent to about 70 percent of homes, their current rollout only reaches 20 percent of homes in the UK.

UkOnline have been conducting trials with parent company Easynet since March this year.
In reaction to Be Unlimited offering consumer trials of the 24Meg service in the London area, UkOnline are looking at beginning consumer trials immediately.

will be available in October, for under £30 a month.”

UKOnline, a subsidary of EasyNet, have announced their plans to launch 8Mbps broadband for £39.99 from April next year. The service is unsurprisingly based upon EasyNet’s LLU deployment, meaning that it should be available at 236 exchanges nationwide by the time of release.

This morning BT have announced that they will be reducing LLU (Local Loop Unbundling) charges by up to 70%.
In a series of phased price cuts, due to start June 1st, BT will significantly reduce the cost of LLU connection and line rental. The June 1st price cuts will see the monthly line rental charge fall
